I am a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Religion, and Childhood Studies at Rutgers University Camden, as well as Director of the Childism Institute and the Children's Voting Colloquium.

My research explores the intersection of political philosophy and children's rights. I am best known for developing the critical theory of childism, or children's empowerment, as well as for research and advocacy around ageless suffrage. My nine books, dozens of articles and chapters, and public media take a childist, feminist, and decolonialist approach to changing normative undertandings of political power, social relations, and human rights.edi
